DON’T HATE THE PLAYA

Tuesday, January 12th, 2010

We played Bash Riprocks in Lubbock a few nights ago.  ONE WOLF was amazing as usual (we’ll be playing with them again in Wilmington).  BOATS from Sacramento was fun (just don’t call the bass player short).  I would link to the other band that played, Cunningham, but I can’t find a link…

Last night was Las Cruces New Mexico.  We played at Equinox. The chick who runs the place, Jasmine, is doing wonderful things for that place and for Las Cruces in general. We met Mr Happy Dog and he knows how to party. In other news, Derek couldn’t poop:

Adrian Hulet…I hope you see this:

OPEN YOUR MOUTH!

Monday, August 10th, 2009

We just finished the final mix for “Open Your Mouth” and are taking it to get mastered today.  It was great working with JOHN CONGLETON again (I’m not sure if that Wikipedia page is totally accurate…).   The man is a pro.  We are stoked at how it sounds and can’t wait for everyone to hear it!

OPEN YOUR MOUTH

We recorded the tracks at The Porch in Romney, TX a few weekends ago.  It was 150 degrees out there and worth every drop of sweat.   The main room we recorded in gave us the exact sound we were looking for…live, loud, and rackety.   Here are a few pictures.  You can see more on our FLICKR.  We’ll be releasing a few additional tracks that won’t be on the record in the coming weeks.  We’ll keep ya posted.

TOUR PICS – FINALLY

Sunday, July 5th, 2009

Mid-west tour was a total success.  We met tons of amazing people and took way too many photos.  We update our FLICKR account pretty frequently with all of the funsaver pictures.   Here are a few goodies:

PHOTOZ

Friday, May 22nd, 2009

We started a FLICKR account for our Funsavers Project.  We’re taking a disposable camera to each of our summer shows and are having a show-goer take all the pics (or most of them).  Take a looksee!  And feel free to volunteer your photo-takin’-skills at one of our future shows!

BORDERFEST 2K9!

Tuesday, March 10th, 2009

After a short 9-hour over-night van ride, we’re back from Borderfest!  I think it’s safe to say that this was one of the most unique experiences we have had to date.  Where else can you find 60 mph winds, people dressed up as your favorite food treats, Charo, and 2 different carnival rides named the same thing (The Fireball!)?  It was too much fun and I’m slightly depressed to be back.  Here are a few pics from the festivities.

JAMAICA + KILLER BEES = BORDERFEST

Monday, March 2nd, 2009

We’re heading to Hidalgo for Borderfest on Friday!  We’ll be playing sets all over the festival grounds and playing in the parades.  It’s Jamaica themed…and home to the “World’s Largest Killer Bee”…and New Kids on the Block are going to be there.

It’s been a while since we’ve had an out-of-town show.  I miss the smell of a rented 15 passenger van.  The weather is going to be amazing too.  So get all yer friends together and come party with us!
