CD Release Party Day is here!  Finally.  We’ve been working on these tunes since last fall and can’t wait for everyone to hear the record.  Party starts at 8pm at GOOD RECORDS.  CDs are $10.  Show is FREE!

OUR CD RELEASE SHOW IS ALMOST HERE!!!  We are beyond excited, obviously, about our upcoming CD release show/party at Good Records in Dallas.  It is on Saturday, April 3rd, and we expect you all to be there with smiles and/or bells on.  DRUG MOUNTAIN will be joining us to help with the music making and fun having.

We’re leaving for our February tour in just about 3 hours.  It was nice to be home for a few days…but we’re all itchin’ to get back on the road.  Pretty please come see us if we’re in your town and help spread the word to people you may know in these cities.  Our MYSPACE and FACEBOOK page have all the details you may need.  See you out there!!!

We made a little music video for one of the songs on our upcoming album.  It’s called “Suburban Homesick Blues” and we like it a lot.

The tour kick-off last night at Andy’s in Denton was amazing.  Thanks a million times to GIGGLE PARTY for helping bring the crazy and MR. TROLL for having the most epic beard this side of the Mississippi.

We’re starting our journey west today and we’ll be in Amarillo by evening.  Help spread the love to all your friends, family, co-workers, acquaintances, and enemies in the following cities!  Our WEBSITE, FACEBOOK, and MYSPACE have all the event details.

Way to go 2009.  You did a good job.

Here are a few things we’re looking forward to in 2010:
A full length album to be completed in early January.
A tour that will span across the majority of the US (check out our SHOWS page)
Our very own 15 passenger van.
The addition of electric guitar.
The absence of all things negative.
No more day jobs.

We also updated our WEBSITE to make information about what we’re doing a bit easier to locate.

We’re throwin’ ourselves a little party tonight at ZUROMA in GrapevineTX to celebrate the release of our new EP “Open Your Mouth”.  We’ve been through quite a bit this year and we are extremely proud to be able to share this with everyone.

We just finished the final mix for “Open Your Mouth” and are taking it to get mastered today.  It was great working with JOHN CONGLETON again (I’m not sure if that Wikipedia page is totally accurate…).   The man is a pro.  We are stoked at how it sounds and can’t wait for everyone to hear it!

We recorded the tracks at The Porch in Romney, TX a few weekends ago.  It was 150 degrees out there and worth every drop of sweat.   The main room we recorded in gave us the exact sound we were looking for…live, loud, and rackety.   Here are a few pictures.  You can see more on our FLICKR.  We’ll be releasing a few additional tracks that won’t be on the record in the coming weeks.  We’ll keep ya posted.

We’re back at 11!  Esteban is the newest, youngest, and 11th member of Mount Righteous! He will be playing accordion, and various other musical  accompaniments.  Oh to be young and free!
